At the time you place the wager you should choose one of the odds offered by Gamebookers.com.
In probability theory and statistics the odds in favour of an event or a proposition are the quantity p / (1 − p) , where p is the probability of the event or proposition.
Taking an event with a 1 in 5 probability of occurring (i.e. 0.2 or 20%), then the odds are 0.2 / (1 − 0.2) = 0.2 / 0.8 = 0.25.
The odds reflect the percentage of probability of an outcome occurring. The lower the odds, the more predictable are the outcome. Therefore, you can refer to the lowest odds as being the 'favorite' outcome. Gamebookers.com offers the odds, you select them and then you decide how much you want to wager.
Gamebookers.com offers odds on all major sports events around the world - up to 1,500 events per week. After you have selected a sport and then a league from the drop-down menu, a navigation box will appear containing all of the offered event types (depending on the sport that you selected).
To place a bet you must be logged in to your Account, with funds in your account to cover your stake/s.
A bet slip is your shopping basket for betting. It allows you to 'shop around' the different sports sections and make your selections before you decide to commit your money and finalize your bets. The bet slip will always appear to the right of the offered events once you are in a betting section. You can add more selections to your bet slip by clicking the outcome on which you wish to bet. Any selection can be removed from your bet slip at any time. Once you are happy with your selections, you can enter your stake/s.
Gamebookers.com uses Central European Time (CET) as the official time zone. For Soccer, Ice Hockey, and Handball events, odds are based on the result after regular time, including time added by match officials for stoppages, including injury time, but not scheduled extra time or penalty shoot-outs, etc. The same counts for Rugby events where the draw option is offered. For Basketball and American Football, odds are based on the result after regular time and any period of overtime played.

The easiest form of betting is a single bet: You only have to correctly predict the outcome of one event to win the bet. Your stake, multiplied by the odds, is your possible win. For example: You place $10 on a victory of Bayern Munich. The odds amount to 2.75. If Bayern Munich wins, your payout will be: 10 x 2.75 (odds for the victory) = $27.5. That's a net win of $17.50 (=27.5-10).
Other form of betting is standard combo. This is a very attractive form of betting that allows you to combine the outcome of several events. You have the possibility of placing up to 20 bets with just one stake. Your possible payout results from the multiplication of all individual odds. To win the bet, you must correctly predict all results. For example: You place $10 on the following combination bet: Manchester United to win (odds 1.5), Bayern Munich to win (odds 1.7), Real Madrid to draw (odds 3.5) and AC Milan to win (odds 2.1). If you forecast ALL outcomes correctly, your payout will be: 10 x 1.5 x 1.7 x 3.5 x 2.1 = $187.43. That's a net win of $177.43 (=187.43-10).
To start online betting you must be logged in to your Account, with funds in your account to cover your stake/s. Choose the events on which you want to bet and click the corresponding odds. Your selections will be displayed in the handy bet slip on the right. You can either place single bet(s) or a variety of multiple bets on one slip. Just ensure that the check box of the respective outcome is activated and type the stake in the provided field next to the event (for singles) or next to the type of combos you wish to place.
Click on 'place bet'. All of your chosen bets will be shown again. Confirm your bet.
The are different ways of sport betting: normal Draw (1X2) or Versus events (1-2, Line, Matches), Head to Head, Handicaps, Halftime, Halftime/Full time, Double Chance, Under/Over, Exact Score, Outrights, Rounds, Set Betting, Race Winner or Specials. Hereafter are some definitions of ways of sport betting:
Standard bet (1X2 / 12 / Line)
This is the standard bet for almost all our sports: simply bet on the winner of the full time result by forecasting which team/player will win the event. Common outcomes are: home win (1), away win (2) and if applicable draw (X).
Half Time & Intermediate Results
Just as standard bet but you have to predict not the full-time but an intermediate result of the game.
Halftime/Fulltime
This is a bet where you have to forecast both the first-half and the full-time result (i.e. 1 = home team, 2 = away team or X = draw). Both predictions must be correct to win the bet. Halftime/Fulltime bets are only offered for soccer events.
Halftime or Fulltime
Your bet wins when your forecast is correct for either the halftime or the fulltime result (you win when at least one of your forecasts is correct!). This 'double chance' makes a Halftime or Fulltime bet more likely to be a winner than a standard bet. Halftime or Fulltime bets are only offered for soccer events.
Double Chance
You have the chance to bet on two possible outcomes of a game at the same time and if one of them is the actual outcome, you win your bet,
Handicap / Run Line
One team is given a head start of a particular number of goals/points; the same number of goals/points will handicap the opponent. The outcome of the bet is obtained by adding the handicap to the final result of the team without handicap. Handicap betting could be particularly interesting when one contestant is regarded as much stronger. The handicap will equalize the contestants and give the opportunity to get a better price on a clear favorite or increase the chance to win on the normally weaker team.
Example:
Manchester v Arsenal - Handicap 0:1 (Arsenal has a 1 goal head start)
Full-time score: 2 - 1
Handicap result: 2 - 2 (we add 1 goal for Arsenal)
The result of the handicap bet is a draw even though Manchester won the game.
Handicap bets are offered for various sports. In baseball Handicap is called Run line.
Under/Over:
Forecast whether the total number of goals/points will be over or under the given number.
Exact Score / Set Betting
Exact Score (soccer & ice hockey): You have to predict the final result of the game.
Set Betting (tennis only): You have to predict how many sets each player wins during the match.
Head to Head
This is a bet on the relative performance of two players in a specific competition. You have to forecast which out of the competitors performs better in direct comparison based on their final scores (more points, better rank or time). If the participants end the tournament with identical scores, all bets are void. Head to Head bets are popular for motor sports, golf and cycling.
Race/Tournament/Championship Bets (Outrights)
Predict the outcome of a race, tournament or championship in various sports. It is possible to bet on the victory or the achieved rank/place of a participant.
Race: Bets on victory/place in a specific race. Example: Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix.
Tournament: Bets on victory/place in a specific tournament (winner usually established via knock out system). Examples: Soccer World Cup or Wimbledon.
Championship/League: Bets on victory/place in a championship/league (teams/participants compete during a season to collect points). These bets have usually a long-term character. Examples: English Premier League or Formula 1 Drivers' Championship.

Good luck, enjoy and have a lot of fun!
